Made from almost 40-year-old vines on the estate vineyard located in Osoyoos, Foch is a variety that used to be widely planted, but has fallen out of favour. However, it still has its fans.
Mocha, smoked spices, toasted nuts and roasted meat aromas sit atop bruised cherries and prune aromas. In the mouth, red fruit is tangy, and it has a salty/savoury character. The tannins are integrated and balance is solid, but the mid palate is lacking concentration.
Pair: game, wild mushroom pasta, braised lamb and lentils
